SureScripts e-Prescriptions
VipaHealth Solutions is a SureScripts Certified Solution™ provider.
Prescriptions can be transmitted simply and securely within SmartEMR’s
medication module using the nation’s largest gateway to chain and
independent pharmacies (Over 90% of the nation's retail pharmacies have
systems certified to connect to the SureScripts network). Our certification
with SureScripts is the result of an extensive process to ensure we meet
the standards required from SureScripts allowing direct connection to a
network of nationwide pharmacies. In keeping with these standards we have
just undergone a re-certification process and upgraded to SureScript's latest
Version 4.0, making sure we keep up to date providing our customers with
access to the largest electronic prescribing network in the nation.
Prescriptions can be transmitted directly to a pharmacy of your choice while
refill requests may be received through our SmartEMR application.
These
are just some of the advantages of using the SureScripts gateway within
SmartEMR’s medication module:
•
Decreases potential for medication errors due to illegible prescriptions
•
Patients can continue to fill
prescriptions at their pharmacy of choice
•
Reduction of administrative tasks affords physicians and pharmacists
to spend more time caring for patients
•
More time for patient/pharmacist interactions
•
Allows for integration of decision support into prescribing process
•
Can save patients from making two trips to pharmacy (one to
drop off prescription, and another to pick up medication)
SmartEMR’s medication module is now enhanced to provide physicians
more options when prescribing medications to their patients.
